Ensemble will run continuously until 2026, laying the groundwork for the next phase of innovation. Interbank settlement of tokenized deposits will initially be conducted through the Hong Kong dollar Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system. The pilot environment will be gradually upgraded to support 24/7 settlement for tokenized central bank currencies, fostering the continued development of a broader tokenization ecosystem in Hong Kong.
