HashKey Global Launches BTCUSD Perpetual Contract with USD Settlement

On November 12, 2025, HashKey Global, operating from Bermuda, announced the launch of its BTCUSD perpetual contract settled in USD. This significant move allows users to directly use USD as margin for their trades, eliminating the need to hold stablecoins and reducing trading costs and complexities.

Target Audience and Applications

This feature is primarily designed for institutional and corporate investors who hold fiat currency assets and prioritize capital efficiency and regulatory compliance. HashKey Global plans to extend the offering to individual traders in the near future. Key use cases include USD asset allocation and risk hedging.

Ensuring Fund Security and Compliance

The funds for the BTCUSD perpetual contract will be stored in a separate, dedicated fiat currency risk reserve account, which will be segregated and secured to banking-grade standards. This approach ensures the safety of funds and regulatory compliance for settlement operations. The platform’s design mirrors the USD-denominated logic used in traditional finance, further aligning the custody and settlement system with international standards.

Emphasis on Compliance and Innovation

Ben El-Baz, Head of Global Expansion at HashKey Group, stated, "The crypto market is undergoing a rapid transition towards a compliance-centric era." He added, "The launch of the BTCUSD perpetual contract by HashKey Global aims to bridge traditional financial assets with Web3 financial innovation products. We anticipate continually enhancing the security and operational mechanisms of our platform, enabling investors to seize market opportunities in a secure and high-performance environment."
